Your patients are going to see Black Friday offers from dental practices this year; the question is whether one of those offers is yours.
Plenty of practice owners still treat Black Friday as an eCommerce and high street event, but that leaves the window open to competitors. More private practices are now building limited-time offers around cosmetic treatments such as Invisalign, composite bonding, veneers and whitening, and yours should be one of them. Done well, a Black Friday campaign gives patients who are already considering treatment a reason to book now, and it does that without turning your practice into the cheapest in the area.
Start planning in mid-October, build a value-added bundle rather than a discount, cap the slots to match your diary, and run Meta Ads across November rather than on the day.
Why Black Friday works for a private dental practice
Black Friday does not create demand for dentistry. It captures demand that already exists. Patients researching Invisalign or veneers have often been thinking about treatment for some time, and a clear deadline can be what moves them from browsing to booking.
That makes cosmetic and elective treatments the natural fit. The aim is to reach those patients while they are deciding, with an offer that reflects your practice’s standards. You don’t need to be the cheapest option nearby. You need to be the practice that gave them a good reason to act this month.
Start six weeks out
Build the campaign around six weeks before Black Friday. In 2026 that means mid-October, since Black Friday falls on 27 November. Starting then gives you time to plan the offer, launch your ads and begin generating demand before November, rather than competing for attention in the same week as every other practice.
In practice, that means agreeing the offer and your appointment capacity first, then creating the video content and landing page, then launching ads early enough that November begins with enquiries already coming in. If you are reading this in early October, there is still time to do it properly.
Build an offer that protects your positioning
Slashing prices is the quickest way to undersell a treatment, and it is rarely necessary. Package your existing treatments and deals into a single offer instead. A patient looking at Invisalign alongside whitening and a retainer sees one clear total, and an advert showing the total saving in pounds is easy to grasp at a glance.
Added value also keeps your pricing steady. Bundles, upgrades and complimentary extras give patients a reason to book while your headline fees stay where they are. Whatever you offer, do not undersell. An offer that looks too cheap can raise doubts about quality, which is the opposite of what a premium cosmetic practice wants. Of course, as per the CAP Code and the CMA’s price-marking guidance, any saving you quote must be against the price you genuinely charge for each item, not an inflated ‘worth’ figure.”
Create genuine scarcity
Urgency only works when it is real. Limit the number of appointment slots or make the offer available in November only, and say so plainly. Exclusivity helps as well. Putting a premium on access, such as “first 10 appointments only”, gives patients a reason to move quickly.
Keep the urgency on the consultation, not the treatment decision. A good approach is to let patients secure the offer by booking their consultation in November, then give them time after that appointment to decide. They still have a reason to act now, and nobody feels rushed into committing to treatment on the spot. Think of it as reserving a table rather than ordering the meal: the booking is what’s time-limited, and the choice comes once they’re sitting down.
Make it clear that every offer depends on a consultation confirming the treatment is suitable. Keep every limit true to what your diary can handle, so you can honour each booking.
Keep your offer compliant
A Black Friday offer is still advertising, so it has to meet the GDC’s Guidance on Advertising and the ASA’s CAP Code. Before your offer goes live, check that it:
- states the terms clearly, including what’s included, the end date and who’s eligible
- bases any saving on the prices you genuinely charge for each item
- makes clear the offer depends on a consultation confirming the treatment is suitable
- avoids claims that create unrealistic expectations, such as “guaranteed” or “perfect” results
- isn’t targeted at under-18s if it’s for a cosmetic treatment
- doesn’t mention Botox or other prescription-only treatments, even indirectly
Pricing transparency is also a focus of the CMA’s ongoing market study into private dentistry, so clear, upfront terms protect you now and as formal guidance develops. If you’d like a second pair of eyes on your offer, see how we handle GDC and ASA compliance for the practices we work with.
Run ads for the season, not the day
A single-day post is easy to miss. Meta ads can run across the whole season, which gives patients repeated chances to see your offer and act on it before the deadline.
Expect the cost of that attention to rise. Ad space is saturated in the run-up to Black Friday and every industry is competing for the same placements, so cost per lead will probably go up whatever you sell. Budget with that in mind, and let an early start and a strong offer protect your results.
Put your team on camera
Video-first creative gives your campaign a human face. Put your dentist or team in front of the camera, and film it in your own practice, because real people build trust. Patients are choosing who will treat them as much as what treatment they book.
Make the next step obvious
Every ad, landing page and message should point to one clear action: booking a consultation. Support it with multiple touchpoints. Most people won’t book the first time they see your offer, so a bespoke landing page, a website pop-up, and email, SMS and WhatsApp follow-ups all keep an interested patient moving toward that booking.
Just make sure your follow-up messages only go to patients who’ve opted in to hear from you, so every touchpoint stays on the right side of data protection rules.
What this looks like in practice
Agree the bundle in mid-October, for example Invisalign with professional whitening and a hygienist appointment, and cap it at the number of consultation slots your diary can hold. Film a short video of your dentist explaining the offer in the practice, then run it on Meta Ads, pointing to a dedicated landing page.
Every enquiry gets an automated email and SMS inviting them to book a consultation. Anyone who visits the page without enquiring sees the offer again in their feed, and opted-in patients get a WhatsApp reminder before the November deadline. At the consultation, your dentist confirms suitability, and the patient has time to decide with the offer secured.
The video builds trust, the ads keep the offer visible, and the follow-up turns interest into booked consultations. That’s how we run seasonal campaigns for our clients.
